Terence McCarthy – President

Mr. McCarthy is the founder and general partner of TJM Properties, Inc., its subsidiaries and properties. With more than thirty-five years’ experience in real estate investment and development, he has been involved with the elder care industry since 1984. His diverse and exceptional portfolio includes the successful acquisition and redevelopment of hotels, apartments, offices, and retirement communities across the eastern United States.

An athletic scholar in basketball at the University of North Florida, Mr. McCarthy received his associate’s degree in arts then transferred to the University of Central Florida, from where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration.

David C. Jones – Vice President of Operations

A key member of the TJM Properties team since 1997, Mr. Jones has decades of extensive experience in the operation and management of senior living residences, as well as a background in the transition of properties to new ownership. His expertise is significant to the company’s expansion program, enabling steady growth while continuing to deliver excellent service to current residents.

Jones is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) and a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech). He is the former president of the Retirement Housing Council and is currently a member of the organization’s board of directors.

Madeline McCarthy – Regional Director of Operations

Ms. McCarthy brings extensive expertise and experience in health care to the TJM Properties team of directors.  Her focus is on ensuring our TJM Properties Senior Living Communities deliver Caring, Compassionate Service to all of our residents.  Her background in health care and emergency medical services help fuel her passion for developing and supporting the operations of our senior living communities.  In addition to a background in health care, Ms. McCarthy has a professional background in marketing, and supports the efforts of our marketing and sales teams.

Ms. McCarthy received a Bachelor’s in Science from The Florida State University, and a Master’s in Business Administration and Health Care Management. She participates in several community and leadership organizations as well.  She is an active member of the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association, is a graduate of the Leadership St. Pete Class of 2013, and is involved in their current planning committee.  She also serves on the Community Action Council for Westcare in Pinellas County, and is involved in the Alzheimer’s Association Florida Gulf Coast Chapter.  Ms. McCarthy is also a member of St. Pete Young Professionals, and is an active member of the St. Petersburg Chamber.  She participates in several philanthropic efforts throughout the greater Tampa Bay Area, and is very supportive of her local community.

Doug Roy – Regional Controller

Roy has held a number of key financial management positions since joining the Company in 2006.  He has in excess of 22 years in the financial management for senior living facilities.

Roy graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accountancy.
